â- Blackboard organizations will be transferred to Canvas starting May 14. Blackboard will be shut down completely August 31.

Still need help making the transition to Canvas?

  • Students: You have been automatically enrolled in an Introduction to Canvas course so you can learn the ins and outs of this new platform. Look for the course on your Canvas dashboard and learn how to customize the platform, practice submitting assignments and more.
  • Faculty: Sign up for the Canvas Basics training course offered by the Office for Teaching and Learning at go.wayne.edu/canvastraining.
  • Faculty: Online training and webinars from Canvas are now available. Sign up with your Wayne State email address and access training at go.wayne.edu/canvaswebinars.
  • Have a specific question? Look through Canvas guides for answers at go.wayne.edu/canvasguides.
  • There is also a departmental canvas training being set up by April for June 6 or 7, room 7364 Scott Hall, if you would like to attend this training being given by Amy Dozier. See today's email sent out today by April and reply by Wednesday, May 16th.

    â- Thanks to Chandni Patel (Evans lab), who led our department's fundraising effort for the 2018 Metro Detroit Heart and Stroke Walk/Run. With donations totaling over $600, we nicely exceed our target of $500 -- thank you for your generosity. Chandni was joined at Saturday's walk in the cool rain by Maysaa Doughan, Emerson Perry, Drs. QianQian and JianJun Wang, and Dr. Pellett.

    â- Mark your calendars for the BMI Annual Departmental Retreat on Friday, September 28, 2018, 8:00-5:00pm, in Rooms 306, 307, 308 Magherio. There will be more complete details to follow closer to the date.
