â- Congratulations to students, Madison Peterson and Nathan Kelley, who both passed their IM preliminary examination.

â- We are in the beginning stages of searching for a Biochemist to join our department. Bharati Mitra will chair the search committee.

â- BMI Faculty meeting will be held on Thursday, August 9, 11:30am-12:00pm, 7364 Scott Hall. Special guest: Denise Figlewicz, Assistant Vice President, Research Enhancement and Development will be attending this meeting to discuss vision about research priorities within the department.

â- BMI Retreat - Friday, September 28, 2018 in Mazurek 306-307. More complete details to follow.
