â- Congratulations to our departmental faculty who are recipients of 2018 School of Medicine

Teaching Awards: Drs. Bharati Mitra, Harley Tse, Jeffrey Withey, Kevin Theis, Robert Akins, and Zhe Yang. Dr. Withey and retreat faculty member, Jeffrey Tseng (CMMG), received Research Awards.

â- The Withey lab has published two new papers recently:

â- Paul Breen, a PhD student in the Withey lab, presented a poster September 29th entitled "Internal vs.

External Pressures: the Effect of Housing Systems on the Zebrafish and Tank Water Microbiomes" at the 25th annual Midwest Microbial Pathogenesis Meeting in Iowa City, Iowa.

â- The 2018 Michigan Microscopy and Microanalysis Society (MMMS) is now accepting abstracts from

faculty, postdocs, staff and students. Students can be involved in a poster/platform competition with prize for the best biological or materials sciences presentation. Abstracts Deadline: October 21, Sunday and Registration Deadline: October 28, Sunday.
