â- Members of the Theis lab and the Perinatology Research Branch published the paper "Does the human placenta delivered at term have a microbiota? Results of cultivation, quantitative real-time PCR, 16S rRNA gene sequencing, and metagenomics" in this month's issue of the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology. The article was an Editors' Choice and was accompanied by the Commentary "De-Discovery of the Placenta Microbiome."

â- This week's biochemistry faculty candidate, Dr. Christopher Colbert,https://www.ndsu.edu/chemistry/people/faculty/colbertc.html, will be visiting March 6-8, 2019. The candidate seminar will be held on Thursday at 1-2:15pm in Room 2268 Scott Hall, School of Medicine (see attachment for full details). â- Due to the rescheduling of faculty candidate Dr. Christopher Colbert's visit, the BMI Faculty Meeting has been moved to Thursday, March 14, 2019, 11:30am-12:30pm, 7364 Scott Hall.
