â- BMI Faculty Meeting is Thursday, April 11, 2019, 11:30am-12:30pm, 7364 Scott Hall.

â- Congratulations to Dr. Jeff Withey for his promotion to Professor! Dr. Withey is internationally recognized for his research into the pathogenic mechanisms of Vibrio cholera, the causative agent of cholera, an internationally important disease. We also know Dr. Withey as an outstanding medical and graduate educator who contributes to our department in many ways. A party is in order - details to follow.

â- We also congratulate affiliated faculty members Dr. Yan Yuan (Jeffrey) Tseng for his promotion to Associate Professor with tenure in the Center for Molecular Medicine and Genetics, and Dr. Li Zhou (Henry Ford Hospital) for her promotion to Adjunct Associate Professor.

â- BMI Team Heart walk:

â-¦ Competition is heating up! Students are narrowly beating the faculty 10% to 8% on completion to their goals in order to raise $1000 total in the department.

â-¦ We need several brave faculty volunteers for a fundraiser towards our goal.To be discussed at BMI faculty meeting.

â-¦ There will be a student fun night to raise money on one of the last Fridays in April that will include games, prizes, and pizza.
