â- Congratulations to our students:

• Chandni Patel completed her PhD Dissertation June 18, 2019. The beginning of July, she will be starting as Postdoctoral Scientist at Cayman Chemical in Ann Arbor.

• Matthew Fountain completed his PhD Dissertation June 21, 2019. Upon finishing his PhD and an internship for biochemistry R&D at Cayman Chemical in Ann Arbor, Matt will be moving to Grand Rapids to start a postdoctoral fellowship at Michigan State University and Van Andel Institute. He will be in the lab of Jeff Mackeigan working on targeting autophagy in lung cancer and other tumor models for preclinical cancer drug discovery.

• Taylor Vensko (IM) received the Master Student Scholarship!

â- Due to the extreme flooding on the east side of Belle Isle, our shelter reservation has been cancelled. The social committee is currently working on finding another spot for our picnic and will keep us updated on what they find.
