News:

• Congratulations to Dr. Yuan He, and collaborators, Dr. Gabriel Nunez (UM), Dr. Yanhui Duan (former lab postdoc), Nouha Odeh (BMI PhD student) and Fangyuan Sun (Lab tech) on publication of a research paper titled “NEK7 phosphorylation amplifies NLRP3 inflammasome activation downstream of potassium efflux and gasdermin D” in Science Immunology (https://doi.org/10.1126/sciimmunol.adl2993). This paper further reveals the underlying mechanism of how NEK7 regulates the NLRP3 inflammasome, a major player in innate immunity and inflammatory diseases.
