News: 

Get rid of the junk!  Dr. Akins has found a way for us to get rid of old equipment and other junk that has accumulated in our laboratories.  We will all need to work together to make this happen. Details will be provided in a separate email.   

BMI Picnic will be 11:00 AM on Friday August 25, at Belle Isle Park shelter 12.  

The BMI Social Committee is collecting donations. Suggested donations are: $5 for students & $20 for faculty. You can donate via Cash to Social Committee Members (Nouran Yonis, Alan Carbajo, and Hansi Mugunamalwaththa).  

All donations are greatly appreciated.  

Feel free to reach out to the Social Committee if you have any questions. Thank you.

The Michigan Physiological Society (MPS) will be hosting their 10^th annual research symposium at Alma College on June 26 & 27, 2023.  

This year’s BMI Department Picnic will be Friday, August 25, at Belle Isle Park, Shelter 12. See message above in News for update.

The continued decline of cases throughout our community and the recent expiration of the federal government’s public health emergency declaration have allowed us to make some major updates to Wayne State’s COVID-19 policies.  The following changes are effective immediately.
