News:

• Congratulations to BMI retreat faculty member, Dr. Maik Hüttemann (Professor, CMMG) on being recognized for faculty scholarship achievements, receiving the Faculty Achievement Award from Wayne State University’s Board of Governors.  He was recognized for his publication of “Cytochrome c lysine acetylation regulates cellular respiration and cell death I ischemic skeletal muscle” (Nature Communications, 2023).
• VA Research Week at the John D. Dingell VAMC, May 13-17, 2024, with special event Tuesday, May 14th from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., in Multi-Purpose Room (B1290). Their invitation goes out to all to attend a celebration of VA Research Week aimed at highlighting their exceptional VA researcher and the incredible work they do for Veterans by hosting this event. See attached SharePoint for the event’s agenda.
