Congratulations to Drs. Brian Edwards and Ladislau Kovari for their recent awards from the Richard Barber Interdisciplinary Research Program.
- Dr. Edwards and his collaborator Dr. Benjamin Kidder (Dept. of Oncology) received a grant to support their project, “Developing innovative PD-1 protein mimetics as targeted therapies for breast cancer”,
- Dr. Kovari and his collaborator, Dr. Navi Gavande from Pharmaceutical Sciences, received funding for their project “Broad-spectrum nonpeptidic antiviral therapeutics targeting the SARS CoV-2 3CLpro.” This is the second consecutive year this team has received a Barber award for their antiviral development work.
