News:

  • Part-time microbiologist position:
    • Dr. Jack Sobel (former School of Medicine Dean and Chief of the Division of Infectious Diseases) needs a microbiologist to help with the identification of vaginal yeast specimens. Occasionally, MICs (Minimal Inhibitory Concentration) tests are needed to assess antifungal susceptibility. Experience in standard microbiological techniques such as microbe culture and biosafety procedures would be useful.  This would be an excellent job for a MS student, or someone with similar background and experience.  Time is very flexible but is laboratory based, not virtual or at-home. The part-time (50% FTE) position offers a competitive salary that includes WSU health benefits.  If you are interested, contact Dr. Sobel at jsobel@med.wayne.edu.
