• We would like to take a moment to honor the following BMI members and associates for their years of service at Wayne State University School of Medicine: Brian Edwards (40 yrs.), William Brusilow (30 yrs.), Jianjun Wang (15 yrs.), Iulia Kovari (15 yrs.), Asmita Vaishnav (20 yrs.), Jack Sobel (35 yrs.), Maik Huttemann (30 yrs.), Russell Finley, Jr. (25 yrs.) and Wei-Zen Wei (25 yrs.).
• Join us online for the 24th Annual C.P. Lee Endowed Graduate Student Research Presentation Day this Thursday, November 19th from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm. The BMI Department is essential to GSRPD with 8 committee members, 6 student presenters, and 6 faculty judges playing a role in making the event a reality this year – even in the midst of a global pandemic! This year’s event will feature 20 poster and 5 oral presentations from 10 different departments and conclude with the Keynote Address at noon by biochemist Dr. Marlene Belfort, Distinguished Professor at the State University of New York at Albany.
