Upcoming Events

  • SOM Thematic Research Committee invitation to the 4th Mini-Symposium, scheduled for Monday, November 10, 2025, from 12:00 – 3:00 PM at the Margherio Conference Center.

This event will focus on the thematic areas of Neuroscience & Immunology, Inflammation and

Infectious Diseases (I3D).

Symposium presenters are:

▪ Kevin Theis (BMI)

▪ Hilary Marusak (Dept. Psychiatry)

▪ Yongsheng Chen (MR Core)

This is part of a new initiative launched by the Dean with the goals of:

▪ Enhancing collaborations and promoting joint grant applications

▪ Providing seed funding for innovative and collaborative projects

▪ Hosting quarterly research mini symposia to foster interdisciplinary dialogue through an informal

platform to learn about our colleagues’ research

Lunch will be available starting at 11:30 AM, and following the presentations, there will be an opportunity for networking and discussion with Dr. Sakr, the speakers, and attendees from 2:00 – 3:00 PM.
