CONGRATULATIONS!!! to Dr. Ladislau Kovari for being awarded an NIH R01 grant, “Anti-norovirus protease inhibitors for immunocompromised patient”. The four-year award is for a collaborative project with the group of Dr. Raymond Schinazi at Emory University.
Dr. Kimberly Andrews Espy’s WSU Presidential Oath of Office Ceremony and Welcome Reception is August 22, 2023, 4 pm to 6 pm, Student Center Ballroom, 5221 Gullen Mall, Detroit, MI 48202, in-person event, to join RSVP.
The Fall 2023 RDP/JC (BMB790) Presentations will begin on September 11, 2023. Follow the “Upcoming Events” in the weekly newsletter to mark your calendar to join and support our grad students.
Events:
BMI Orientation for Incoming Graduate Students will take place Wednesday, August 23 in the 7364 Scott Hall (BMI library). All BMI faculty and students are invited to lunch that day at 12:45 pm in 7364. This is a great chance to meet our new group of MS and PhD students!
The BMI Department Picnic is this Friday, beginning around 11am at Belle Isle Shelter 12. Main dish will be provided by the student social committee. You are welcome to bring a dish to pass. A dish signup sheet is on the BMI office door (Room 7374).
