  • Congratulations to Olivia Haskins, a second-year student in the BMB MS program (Kovari lab), who recently accepted a drug discovery position at Cayman Chemical Company in Ann Arbor.  After graduating with a BS in Forensic Science in 2015, Olivia worked in the healthcare arena for six years, four as a toxicology medical technologist for Trinity Health's esoteric reference laboratory, ultimately in the role of Lead Technologist. After her first year in the BMB Master's program, Olivia applied for and was accepted as an intern with the Drug Discovery Team at Cayman Chemical in Ann Arbor, where she ran a complex assay that produces data vital to the design of drug-like compounds. Based on that work, Olivia was hired by Cayman as a permanent employee in the area of Drug Discovery, on a part-time basis while she completes her MS studies.
  • Reminder:  Isabella Cubillejo recently emailed BMI Newsletter forms to everyone in the department. Please email your filled-out forms to isabellacubillejo@wayne.edu by Wednesday, August 31. Thank you!
